It's in great original condition and it sounds amazing. With no former repairs, dents or dings this sweetheart from 1950 deserves to be brought back into play. During the 1970′s, the 3rd and 4th digit of the serial number indicate the year of manufacture.1972 – 12729030. I've estimated dates for horns in these 'serial number black holes.' - I'm missing horns from some years. Most serial number charts become very spotty after 1942 and many years have no production data. It has the front-F key and a roller on the G# key. These are generally regarded as the best of the True Tones, particularly with regard to intonation. This is what SaxPics calls a “Series IV” model.
